What if you could say these things:

I am content right now.

I stand tall from my feet, up through my heart to my head in everything I do.

I am caring clearly and tenderly for my life.

All is well. All is truly well.

Content and complacent are two very different things. Content is peaceful happiness, from the inside, an acceptance of this moment, a state in which the body and mind are relaxed and engaged. Complacent is satisfaction with how things are and no motivation to improve them. Contentment with here and now is power. Complacent is victimhood, feeling powerless in life. We can’t control all of our circumstances, but we can choose to be content where we are AND take inspired action. There is a difference in the way we go out into the world. Content is a quiet confidence. Complacent is a slow death.

Here’s A Bit of My Story:

Content allows a relaxation in our whole system that opens us up to what we don’t yet know. The universe if full of unlimited possibilities of how this life might unfold. When we are content and relaxed where we currently stand, we have a better shot at seeing clearly.

Are you, in this moment, content or complacent or even more likely somewhere in the middle of it all? Are you willing to take a look at your life and consider the areas where you are content, and cheer for yourself? Contentment is like gold. THEN, consider the areas where you are complacent. Which parts of your life have you settled for status quo and maybe today, at least for a moment, you are willing to take a baby step in the direction of what you really want?

5 Strategies to BE Content and NOT Complacent:

1. Breathe in. Breathe out. Ask yourself what you really want to do in this world. Noone else needs to know this – dream big, go for the jugular, you are worth it.

2. Stand Up and Stand Tall. Let your feet root into the ground. Feel your legs tall, strong and engaged. Feel your belly, pull your shoulders back and open. Breathe. Now wiggle your neck and head and just stand there and take three breaths through your whole body.

3. Stay Standing. Take an honest look at your life in this moment. Is the life you are living aligned with the life you really want? Breathe. It’s hard to take an honest look and it’s crucial to our mental and physical health.

4. Write down five baby steps you can take today in the direction of what you really want. Creating momentum in the direction of your dreams is key to success.

5. Keep an open mind. Hold the big vision and take inspired action, the results just might exceed your wildest dreams.

Be content on the inside and from that open and clear space, take inspired action. You are worth it and our world needs your brilliance!
