50 Shades of Pink Wedding Dresses

If you were following the #bridalmarket tag on Instagram a few weeks ago you will have seen that many designers chose pink shades for their 2014 wedding gown collections. Following the lead of A-list brides Reese Witherspoon (who wore Monique Lhuillier) and Jessica Biel (who wore a gown by Giambattista Valli), brides have been seeking out romantic alternatives to the all-white or ivory gowns on salon floors.

And while pink dresses may conjure up images of little girls playing dress up, think again. Pale blushes, peaches and other soft shades exude a romantic and vintage vibe when made of layers of tulle -- perfect for a candlelit, ballroom wedding or an outdoor, rustic affair.

Bolder magenta and dark coral-like hues, as seen in Vera Wang's Fall 2014 Collection, can be quite modern. Fashion-forward brides will make a grand statement in a gown made in one of these nontraditional, yet "cool" colors.
