Throughout history humans we have craved a deeper connection. That's why people don't do business with companies, they do business with people. Why is it then that many businesses fail to tap into the power of this interpersonal connection?

Imagine a world where people honestly care about their customers, engage in real conversations, access their most pressing problems, and actually spend time nurturing those relationships. Tribes do that.

Instead of having customers sit in seats watching your concert of products and services, they are invited to go backstage, hang out, and truly connect to you as a person. Who doesn't dream of getting backstage passes and rubbing elbows with their idols?

So how do you create a powerful tribe of raving fans who adore you and are ready to incite a movement?

Here's some ways to flag down your tribe members and build a rock star following.

1) Connect in an authentic, vulnerable way. People yearn to connect with the real you. Creating a tribe gives them an opportunity to do that. Be in the community with them. Meet and greet. Make everyone feel valued and welcome. Share your truth. Show them what inspires you. Invite them into your vision for change. Let the light of your passion serve as a torch to inspire them. When you are passionate and embrace your purpose and mission people will be drawn to that.

2) Invite people individually that you feel are a match! Connect to them on social media. Send them a private message and engage in a conversation. When things you found interesting on their website or in their bio. Share things you appreciate about them or have in common. Invite them into your private group and tell them why they'd make a perfect fit.

Here's an example of a message you could share:

Would you please join my new Facebook group? It'd be wonderful to have you there so we can interact more. Here's the link:

It's for heart centered entrepreneurs who are passionate about sharing their message and gifts with the world. I'll be there every day providing inspiration, motivation, and tips to help people heal the world with their gifts. I'd love to have you join us!

3) Put a description and link to your group in your Facebook Description. Tell them what your group is about, who it's for, what they can expect there. Then offer a link for them to join.

Here's an example of what I put in the About Section of my personal profile:

Hey! I'm Kristie Notto, a Tribe Building expert helping thought leaders to earn a wildly awesome income while making a difference in the world.

I started this free community to share, support, and connect with our fellow entrepreneurs and business peers. This is a group of heart centered entrepreneurs who are passionate about sharing their message and gifts with the world. You share your life changing messages with love, authenticity, and integrity. You know that they are here to make a difference.

4) Offer an Irresistible Free Gift that's available to them in the files when they join. This could be a special video message, a bonus free report, a checklist or anything that they would value. This serves as an incentive for people to join your tribe. It also helps build your mailing list so you have another way to keep in touch with them.

For example I created an ebook called The Little Book of Empowering Beliefs that is a collection of motivational quotes thattaught me key lessons in life.

5) Create a Mantra. This is a heartfelt statement about what is means to be a member of your tribe and what you stand for. For example I have an
Awesome Sauce Activist Mantra here:

That makes it really easy for people to read and say Yes, this is for me or No, not a fit, I pass.

6) Put it on your Email Signature. That way every time you send an email or someone forwards your email to someone else, you are sending an invitation to join your tribe. It's marketing that works 24/7 for you.

7) Visualize your Perfect Tribe Member. The more intentional you are about your tribe mission and who your perfect members are, the easier it is to attract your perfect members. Create an avatar of who your perfect tribe member is. What do they do? What do they care about? What are their passions? What challenges can you help them with. If you are spiritual, you may even with to meditate, send your tribe energy out into the world, and let people be attracted energetically to it.

Hope these tips help you build your tribe. And when you do find them, love them hard. They are your number one fans and advocates!
