Among standardized tests required for admission into various higher educational institutions, the GRE (Graduate Record Examination) measures verbal ability, quantitative reasoning skills, critical thinking ability and analytical writing skills and is used for admission into graduate school.

The GRE is divided into three sections: math, verbal and writing, and the LSAT contains five sections: analytical reasoning, logical reasoning, reading comprehension, an experimental section and a writing sample.

The LSAT (Law School Admission Test) is required for admission into law school, and measures skills that are considered essential for success in law school, such as reading comprehension of complex texts and critical thinking skills.

The GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) is a standardized exam used as part of the admissions process into MBA programs and is a computer-based adaptive test. Sections include integrated reasoning, quantitative, verbal and an analytical writing assessment.
