We all like to save a little time. Every manager has their own tips for making sure that projects are completed before deadline. It's called time management right? Except not every shortcut is helpful. Some of them lead to subpar performance and overlooked errors. Shortcuts, by their very definition, mean that you're trying to get around the hard work. Unfortunately, that work normally has a purpose.

Forgetting a major part of your policy proposal is a pretty big, "Oops." In a company presentation, it would be embarrassing. On a national stage, it could ruin a candidacy.
