7-Year-Old Crawls Into Tiny Space To Rescue Trapped Puppy

When there was a puppy in distress, a 7-year-old girl from Fort Worth, Texas, wasted no time in coming to the rescue.

Nina Boyett, a second-grader, is shown in the video above crawling into a tiny space under a barn to rescue a 10-day-old Australian Shepherd mix puppy, NBC reported.

After Nina and her aunt heard the puppy's whimpering, the young girl wedged herself into the space between the barn floorboards and the ground to get to the crying puppy.

Nina, an animal lover, asked before she was even halfway out, "Can we keep it?"

The puppy was the only survivor of a litter of 10, KRISTV reported. She is now recovering and doing well.

In other recent adorable puppy-heroism news, Gus Kenworthy, a Winter Olympic silver-medal skier, rescued four stray puppies from Sochi. The athlete even pledged to get them vaccinations and to bring them home with him.
