Have you ever felt like one day you can take on the whole world to the next day feeling like you can't do anything at all? Now notice your energy levels for both days and what you did each day. How you start your day and end your day has an instant effect on how you will feel. I am happy to share eight simple ways (which I practice in my own life) to increase your energy levels which will bring you to live a life of productivity and hence bring you to fulfillment.

1. GET ENOUGH SLEEP.
It's very important to get enough sleep. Sleep helps our bodies to rest, heal, and carry out certain bodily functions which are vital to our being for the next day. Get at least 7-9 of sound sleep everyday. Sleeping early and waking up early are two great habits to develop to get the most out of our day and make our day totally productive and worth living.

2. FOLLOW A MORNING RITUAL.
A morning ritual is KEY to raising our energy levels right off the bat! Here is an example of a morning ritual which I follow and keeps me on track to feeling fabulous and productive at the start of my day:
Ex.
i. Meditate 10 minutes
ii. Pay gratitude ( I keep a journal)
iii. Write down my plan and goals for the day
iiii. Sit down with my favorite morning beverage and read or watch something inspirational.
iiiii. Clean-up around the house, even if it's something as little as making my bed- a clean place is very energizing!

3. GET DRESSED EVEN IF YOU PLAN TO BE HOME.
Taking the time to look your best even if you plan to work from home or have a day off is so important because it makes us feel better! And when we feel better, our energy goes up and when our energy levels increase, so does our ability to make the best out of each day. So get dressed for success!

4. FAST
Food has a direct effect on how we feel. Fasting for at least 14 hours daily, of most which we spend sleeping anyway, is a great way to feel totally energized. If you notice how you feel after having a large or heavy breakfast right after waking up, you will see that your energy levels decrease and it may leave you feeling lethargic and heavy. Now notice a morning when you are fasting. You feel more lighter, alert , and ready to go about! Instead of having a full heavy breakfast after waking up, opt for a favorite beverage ( smoothies, coffees, teas).

5. WRITE A JOURNAL.
Writing down your feelings and getting everything out there is an effective way to refresh yourself, gain clarity, and heal from all the different events of the day. Don't bottle up all those feelings. Let them out on that piece of paper and feel relieved!

6. WRITE OUT YOUR PLANS AND GOALS FOR THE DAY AND CHECK THEM WITH A MARK AFTER COMPLETION.
Yes, this one is so satisfying! Write down your plans and goals for the day. After completing each task, mark a check besides it. It will instantly leave you feeling productive and want to accomplish everything on the list!

7. EXERCISE FOR AT LEAST 20 MINUTES A DAY.
20 minutes of exercise a day not only helps us to feel good, look good, increase our energy levels, but also relieves stress. That's a bargain!

8. BE KIND TO YOURSELF AND TO EVERYONE ELSE INCLUDING STRANGERS.
Be kind to yourself and to those you come across. Never beat yourself up for anything which isn't in your control. Do your best each day and pat yourself on the back for making it through successfully. A smile, a kind gesture, a helping hand, etc does wonders for those around you even if they are total strangers. You never know how your small gesture of kindness will impact someone in a very big way, it may even save someone life! Everyone is going through something or another and to be kind does not cost a thing. So be kind often and especially to yourself!
