Pajama-Clad 9-Year-Old Steals City Bus

Kid, you are so BUS-ted.

A 9-year-old boy wearing pajamas stole a city bus in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on Saturday morning and took it on a three-block joyride, the Canadian Press reports.

The bus came to a stop after it bumped into a truck and another city bus. Nobody was injured, though the bus suffered a cracked windshield and broken mirror.

"This is a case, from what I've seen, [where] policy and procedures were very clearly violated," the very observant Jeff Jorgenson, General Manager of Transportation and Utilities Department, told CBC.

A maintenance worker left the bus at the garage with the motor running, Jorgenson said. The boy climbed in and took the wheel.

Police spokesman Sgt. Ryan Smith had a simple explanation for the little scamp's actions.

"He had an opportunity to take it," Smith told CNN, "and he did."

Due to his age, the boy will not face any charges.
