'90s Hairstyles We Thought Were Absolutely Cool (PHOTOS)

If imitation is the highest form of flattery, then the celebrity-inspired hairstyles we wore throughout the '90s are the greatest tributes.

Even though we experimented with messy hair à la Courtney Love and embraced our natural curl pattern like Mariah Carey, most of our spontaneous '90s hair changes were based on fictional characters, such as Angela Chase's red lob and Kelly Kapowski's big hair. We thought we were so cool...

Looking back, we probably would think twice before begging our parents to switch up our hairdos. But we can always learn from and laugh at these iconic '90s hairstyles.
