The global climate crisis is one of the biggest political issues at the moment. However those most affected by the decisions we make now regarding climate are the generations that cannot vote. They can't stand up and make their voices heard about this issue.

A recent report from the Committee on Climate Change outlines the environment's bleak future. The worst-case scenario could culminate in 118-degree heat waves and widespread flooding as early as 2080. That's undeniably terrible and it's only getting worse. Coral reefs are dying, forest fires are devastating cities, and neither candidate has mentioned climate change. The evidence of a upcoming climate crisis is undeniable even in the face of insane skepticism. So the onus is on us to start requesting a solution.

Protecting the planet from climate change is the responsibility of the current and future generations of voters. 16 year old climate change activist Xiuhtezcatl Martinez knows this and took to YouTube to communicate an open message to the candidates of the upcoming presidential election.

It's becoming more difficult by the day to believe this election isn't a sign of the forthcoming apocalypse. This undeniable issue can no longer be ignored. Start asking your political party how they plan to battle climate change today.
