In November I filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the NSA for documents establishing the agency's Media Leaks Task Force, the internal group charged with responding to Edward Snowden. I also asked for any interagency agreements relating to the task force (with an eye on the Justice Department's efforts to prosecute Snowden).

On April 28 the agency sent me its response and closed the file. I will be appealing. In sum I think it's unlikely that an email from John Inglis is the only paper trail the task force generated (for comparison read the memo Richard Gates wrote establishing a WikiLeaks task force in the wake of Chelsea Manning's leaks).
