Bill Murray's cameo in Zombieland. The endless appeal of "Wrecking Ball" by Miley Cyrus. The out-of-left-field release of 10 Cloverfield Lane. Me hearing "The Bad Touch" by the Bloodhound Gang this morning. Some things can be wonderfully unexpected. Take Cash Cash's newest collaboration. The hitmakers (seriously "Take Me Home" featuring Bebe Rexha probably gets as much airplay today as it did three years ago) have teamed with The Voice Season 5 powerhouse Jacquie Lee on the new single "Aftershock." The result is pretty awesome. In New York City last month, Cash Cash and Lee performed two songs and sat down for a chat exclusively for A-Sides.

Before we jump right in, here's a little bit of fun facts. Cash Cash have released three full-length albums, a bunch of EPs, and have remixed everyone from Katy Perry to Icona Pop. The group, which consists of brothers Jean Paul and Alex Makhlouf and Samuel Frisch, hail from New Jersey and are true DIY artists in that they produce, record, mix and master all their stuff. Lee is also from the Garden State, and two years ago was signed to Atlantic Records. Soonafter, she released Broken Ones, an EP that showcased her strong vocals which made Christina Aguilera flip during The Voice. Lee is clearly more than just a contestant on a music show. Her chops and expansion into Cash Cash's world will clearly propel her to such great heights. Check it all out below.

A-Sides' "Delve Into Twelve" Countdown
Each week A-Sides unleashes its top 12 tracks of the week AKA the "Delve Into Twelve" based on the following contributing factors: songs I'm playing out that particular week (no matter when they were released -- think overlooked songs, unreleased tracks and old favorites), songs various publicists are trying to get me to listen to that I did and dug a bunch, song posts and trends I've noticed on my friends' Facebook walls and, most importantly: what my toddler is currently enjoying thoroughly with an assist from my infant.

About A-Sides with Jon Chattman:
Jon Chattman's music/entertainment series typically features celebrities and artists (established or not) from all genres performing a track, and discussing what it means to them. This informal series focuses on the artist making art in a low-threatening, extremely informal (sometime humorous) way. No bells, no whistles -- just the music performed in a random, low-key setting followed by an unrehearsed chat. In an industry where everything often gets overblown and over manufactured, Jon strives for a refreshing change. Artists featured on the series include Imagine Dragons, Melissa Etheridge, Yoko Ono, Joe Perry, Alice Cooper, fun, Bleachers, Charli XCX, Marina and the Diamonds, and Bastille.
