The black prehensile tongue of a giraffe is about 20 inches long.

When giraffes drink, they have to bend their knees or spread their legs awkwardly and then raise their necks quickly, throwing their heads back to regulate their blood pressure.


Cape buffalo are one of the "Big Five", a term used by game hunters because they are the most difficult to hunt and the meanest when cornered. The Big Five are the leopard, rhino, elephant, Cape buffalo and lion.
