After 12 years of voluntarily fundraising I’ve finally raised in excess of £100,000. Working with various charities I have aimed to raise funds and awareness by supporting numerous fundraising events. At the recent Haven House Ball I was delighted to support an event that raised £83,000. Thanks to the support of some amazing donors I was able to raise thousands in the silent and live auctions.

Mark Wright did an excellent job as host. The event was a great success.

“It was a fantastic evening. The Health Lottery were proud to support the ball.” Martin Ellice - Joint Managing Director, Northern & Shell

I’d like to thank Richard Caring, Richard Desmond, Peter de Savary, Sally Greene OBE, Boodles, Virgin Atlantic, Ivar London, Hippodrome Casino, SYCO Entertainment, Manolo Blahnik, Sir John Hegarty, Belmond, SHOW DRY, Emilio Pucci, Lee Stafford, The Sloane Club, Kiki McDonough, Kim Kwang, Sipsmith, Percy Nobleman, Dappad and Small Luxury Hotels of the World.

Supporting Haven House and Vision2020

As an unpaid voluntary fundraiser my goal is to raise £250,000 in order to support Vision2020.

Vision 2020 is the first five-year strategy implemented by Haven House since the hospice opened in 2003. Since its inception Haven House has supported 650 families, ensuring that they are not alone when caring for a child with a life-limiting condition. This would not have been possible without the help of donors and partners within their local communities.

Vision 2020 sets out our plan to support 500 children each year across their respite, end-of-life and community services by 2020. This strategy focuses on the holistic nature of palliative care, bringing together four essential areas of activity to deliver their vision:

  • Maximising a multi-disciplinary care approach through our Holistic Care Centre
  • Expanding clinical services at The White House to support more children
  • Developing our family support services in the community
  • Researching the need for and the impact of a Hospice at Home service in our local area.

Haven House hopes that their strategy inspires you to join them on their exciting journey to help more children and families across North and North East London, West Essex and East Hertfordshire.
