Internet, meet your new favorite artist! Introducing AA Bondy...

If you haven't heard much about him yet, get ready to because now is his time. Kinda like when Mark Arm of Mudhoney sang "I Am Now!" on their last record. Well, except Bondy doesn't really sound like Mudhoney (although his previous band Verbena kinda did), but he's in the same category of cool for me as Mark Arm and Steve Turner. Mr. Bondy is one of the best song writers and performers our generation has to offer. Fact!

This year at the 2010 Newport Folk Fest (July 31 - Newport, RI) AA Bondy played a near flawless set and won over what seemed to be a large number of Folk fans with his semi acoustic/screeching electric jam of a set. I couldn't help but draw comparisons to Bob Dylan's Newport Folk bum except this time was no Pete Seeger armed with an axe trying to chop the power chords in order to stop the amplified noise and keep his folk pure, seems like "the people" have caught up these days and it seems they love AA Bondy. As they should. You can download AA Bondy's set (via Buddyhead) from Newport Folk Fest here and read about what NPR said before he played here (which tells you NOTHING). What I'll tell you though is that his set is fucking awesome, flawless, A+ and I'm glad he's headed towards Los Angeles and our annual Fuck Yeah Fest!

That's right, once again FYF FEST (why it's a double fest we're not sure -- Fuck Yeah Fest Fest) is invading downtown Los Angeles with eclectic rock n' roll, this year it's gonna go down on September 4th (which is a Saturday) and it's gonna cost you $25 to get in. Bring your own drugs! Fuck, bring me drugs too. To buy tickets hit up their website via http://www.fyffest.com/. Peep the line-up below. Is "peep" considered to be Ebonics?

Visit Buddyhead.com for several videos and mp3 downloads of AA Bondy's music or check out his myspace page. Nope, he doesn't have a website. Mr. Bondy is stuck in 1968 in terms of the internet, dude needs to get it together! I will once again publicly offer my highly demanded website building skills for FREE, that's right I'll build you a website for free. All you gotta do is ask. Right now Mr. Bondy is touring across America and I highly recommend you go see him if he comes anywhere near you. His live show is not to be missed and actually better than his recordings, which is saying a lot.
