WATCH: This Unforgettable Shot Sent Kentucky Back To The Final Four

Age considers; Kentucky freshmen venture.

With an already classic game in the Elite Eight deadlocked in the final seconds, Kentucky's Aaron Harrison drilled a game-winning shot that will long be remembered in Lexington. The 19-year-old freshman from Richmond, Texas had the ball in his hands and Michigan's Caris LeVert in his face as the clock ticked under five seconds. The scoreboard showed 72-72 when the 6' 6" guard rose up from the wing to let loose a deep three-point shot over LeVert's outstretched arm.

After that high-arcing shot splashed the net, there were 2.3 seconds remaining in the game and a three-point lead for the eight-seeded Wildcats showing on the scoreboards at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Michigan got the ball to sharpshooting guard Nik Stauskas on the final play of the game but his half-court heave bounced harmlessly off the backboard as the final buzzer sounded.

"I knew I had to take the shot," Harrison said after his team's 75-72 win over No. 2 Michigan in the final of Midwest Region. "I wasn't really sure how much time was left. But I knew that it wasn't that much time, so I just tried to take the best shot I could take. And it fell. And in making that shot and seeing my teammates so happy and running toward me, it's the best feeling in the world."

After a scoreless first half, Harrison hit four three-point shots in the final 10 minutes of the game to help John Calipari's latest group of precocious Wildcats reach the Final Four. Two days earlier, Harrison also drained a go-ahead three-point shot to send Kentucky past in-state rival Louisville. The shooting star is one of several standout freshman on Kentucky's 16th Final Four team. His twin brother, Andrew, was on the floor for his big moment and was the teammate who got the ball into his hands.

"When he made that shot, I mean, it was just ridiculous," Julius Randle, another of Kentucky's freshman standouts, told reporters. "In that stage, that atmosphere, that game, to make that shot to send us to the Final Four, it was just amazing. And I was just proud of him and it was shocking at the same time because it was such a tough shot."
