'Charlie's Angels' Canceled: ABC Axes Remake

'Charlie's Angels' Canceled

ABC has canceled "Charlie's Angels," the network announced Friday.

The network axed the series after just four episodes due to low ratings.

The cancellation is one of the first few of the new television season, after "The Playboy Club" and "Free Agents" among others, and the first made by ABC.

The show, which starred Minka Kelly, Annie Ilonzeh and Rachael Taylor, was a remake of the popular 1970s series with a slight twist. It aired on Thursdays at 8 p.m., where it went against CBS' "Big Bang Theory" and NBC's "Community."
