About Saturday's Democratic Debate...

Wait, what? If people didn't talk about politics how on Earth would decisions get made? If they don't talk to one another, how do people know what they stand for and believe in and how can we possibly make informed positive change?

In the final months before graduating college, along with freaking out about my wavering GPA, I decided to subject myself to some career and life counseling. Those weekly hour-long meetings were little more than fodder for my then daily panic attacks and contained tons of weird instructions like "never, ever discuss politics in the workplace or anywhere else for that matter." Wait, what? If people didn't talk about politics how on Earth would decisions get made? If they don't talk to one another, how do people know what they stand for and believe in and how can we possibly make informed positive change?
