'About Time' Trailer: Rachel McAdams Is The Time Traveler's Girlfriend (VIDEO)

Rachel McAdams' Next Big Romance

Just moments after making out with Ryan Gosling in the rain in "The Notebook," Rachel McAdams became America's romantic comedy queen. Since that 2004 film, McAdams has starred in a handful of screen romances, including popular box office hits like "Wedding Crashers" and "The Vow." Now, McAdams gets to revisit one of her misses, "The Time Traveler's Wife," in the time-traveling romance "About Time," a.k.a. "The Time Traveler's Girlfriend" a.k.a. "This One Uses That Of Monsters and Men Song and Stars Bill Weasley."

Written and directed by romantic comedy kingpin Richard Curtis ("Love Actually," the scripts for "Four Weddings and a Funeral," "Notting Hill" and "Bridget Jones' Diary"), "About Time" tells the story of Tim (Domhnall Gleeson, who played Bill in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2"), a young man with the ability to travel back in time to revisit and correct awkward romantic moments in his life. (Tim's onscreen dad, played by the wily Bill Nighy, explains how this works with a bemused self-awareness.) That's where McAdams comes in, playing the one that got away. She smiles, he melts, it's over.

"The wonderful thing about the last couple of years is that I've been working quite a lot and I've been given opportunities," Gleeson, who starred in last year's "Anna Karenina," told HuffPost Entertainment. "There are plenty of people who are better than me, who haven't gotten those opportunities. I recognize I've been really really lucky at the moment. I'm getting to work with extraordinary people that I can learn great lessons from. I'm trying to get the most out of it, because you never know when it's going to end." And if it does, you can always go into an armoire, clench your fists and try again.

"About Time" is out in theaters on Nov. 8. It looks great, proof of which you can see above.
