Adam Lambert Covers Rihanna's 'Stay' (VIDEO)

WATCH: Adam Lambert Covers Rihanna

Adam Lambert surely doesn't have to prove his vocal prowess, but the former "American Idol" contestant set the bar even higher with his rendition of Rihanna's "Stay."

Lambert covered Rihanna's heart-wrenching ballad, "Stay," on Sunday night to the sold out audience at Uniqlo-AX Hall in Seoul, South Korea, according to Towleroad. He debuted the cover for the kick-off of his "We Are Glamily" tour.

On Feb. 11, Lambert teased fans with a 36-second clip of him singing "Stay," the duet Rihanna performed with Mikky Ekko at the 2013 Grammy Awards on Feb. 10.

His teaser clip got amazing reviews from some of music's biggest critics.

MTV called Lambert's version "raw, gusty, and just the right amount of emotional" while Fuse claimed the "Trespassing" singer did better than Rihanna herself.

"First off, he one-upped the original artist," Fuse writes. "Secondly, he did so within 24 hours of the video's official release. Thirdly, he outperformed Rihanna and he's only posted 37 seconds of his version so far."

Despite the pop face-off, Lambert has nothing but respect for RiRi.

The 31-year-old has made headlines for covering some of the world's most celebrated artists, like David Bowie and Madonna. He has even served as the Queen frontman, replacing the late Freddie Mercury for a mini-tour last summer.
