Adam LaRoche Killed A Really Big Elk And Tweeted About It

MLB Star Shows Off Massive Kill

The Washington Nationals fell short of a World Series title, but it looks like Adam LaRoche got another kind of trophy.

On Wednesday, LaRoche, the team's first baseman last season, tweeted a photo of himself kneeling by a large downed elk with a rifle leaning against it.

Some commenters on Twitter congratulated LaRoche while others took their swings at the player for killing an animal. Former Nationals teammate Dan Haren, now a Dodger, sent this missive:

LaRoche, an avid hunter whose mountain lion slaying with a bow and arrow last winter was widely reported, bagged his latest kill in Wyoming, the Washington Post reported.

LaRoche, who played four seasons for the Nationals, became a free agent last week, For The Win noted.
