NYPD Heckle Stand-Up Comedian While Making An Arrest In The Middle Of His Show

NYPD Officer Tells Comedian To 'Shut The F**k Up' During His Set

Getting heckled is par for the course for a stand-up comedian. Getting yelled at by the NYPD mid-set is pretty unnerving.

Comedian Adam Newman had an unexpected confrontation with a few of New York's finest while on stage during a recent stand-up show, and he uploaded video of the incident to YouTube.

It began when, just after Newman fired off a joke about shampoo, several police officers entered the comedy club to arrest an audience member, causing a big scene.

When Newman jokingly asks the officers, "You guys couldn't have waited until after my set?" tensions quickly flare.

"Obviously not," one police officer responds, before a second yells, "Obviously. Shut the fuck up, alright?"

Ouch.

"That's the weirdest heckle I've ever gotten in my life," Newman says to the audience, prompting a round of applause.

At least he got some good material for his next bit.
