Scott quibbled with the notion that "Parks & Rec" is on "hiatus," pointing out that it is scheduled to return to NBC for two episodes in November and then later in January of 2014, where it will team with "Community" for an hourlong Thursday night comedy block.
Still, it seems unlikely that Scott's reassurances will do much to console "Parks" fans who feel like the network is messing with their favorite show.
"Parks and Recreation" will air back-to-back episodes on Thursday, Nov. 14 and 21 at 8 p.m. ET before going off-air until Jan. 9.
