Adele Pregnant And 'Laying Low' Until Giving Birth

Heavily Pregnant Adele Is 'Totally Laying Low'

Eight-time Grammy winner Adele dropped a baby bomb on us in June, when she announced to her fans that she was pregnant with her and boyfriend Simon Konecki's first child. "Im delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together," she wrote in a statement on her website. "I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we’re over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time."

In the meantime, the 24-year-old British powerhouse has managed to do just that, remaining relatively out of the public eye as she prepares to give birth this fall. "She is just thrilled," an insider tells People magazine about Adele for its newest cover story, out on stands this Friday. "She is totally laying low and nesting."

In August, rumors of an impromptu wedding with Konecki were quashed by the singer herself, who tweeted in response to reports, "I'm not married...Zzzzz."

On Oct. 4, Adele released her newest single, the soulful James Bond theme song "Skyfall." Most recently, Adele picked up the "Song of the Year" title at the BMI Awards Tuesday night in London, for "Rolling in the Deep." The song charted on the Billboard Hot 100 for a whopping 65 weeks and, at 1.35 million plays, was the most-played song on U.S. television and radio in 2011.
