Midlifers have the 50-50 perspective of hindsight -- and if we'd had the chance to go back in time, we might have some pearls of wisdom for our younger selves. That was the inspiration behind a recent bloghop by midlife blogger group on Facebook called #genfab. Bloggers answered the question "what advice would you give your 20-year-old self?"
I have three pieces of advice for my 20-year-old self:
- Keep sex within the context of romantic relationships. Friends with benefits really aren't.
- Stop knocking your head so hard against the glass ceiling. Those glass chards hurt.
- Let go of anger. Learning to forgive is a beautiful thing.
Check out the slideshow below for some of the wise words of the #genfab bloggers -- and tell us what you would advise your 20-year-old self in the comments.
