Sarah Paulson Says 'AHS: Freak Show' Is About The 'Little Bit Of Freak In Everybody'

Here's A Look Under The Tent Of 'AHS: Freak Show'

Previous seasons of Ryan Murphy's horror anthology have utilized everything from ghosts to aliens to witchcraft to scare the crap out of audiences. "American Horror Story: Freak Show," however, is aiming to not only give us a handful of fun jumps and scares, but also tell a meaningful, important story about outcasts and differences.

Set in the 1950s at one of the country's last-surviving sideshows, Season 4 gives us a look at what life was like for those who were judged by their disabilities and what Denis O'Hare calls "physical [and] behavioral abnormalities." FX already introduced us to two of the cast members, Rose Siggins who plays "Legless Suzi" and Mat Fraser who plays "Paul The Illustrated Seal," in two mini-docs.

In a new behind-the-scenes video, the cast talks about the new season and how it celebrates and explores "the little bit of freak in everybody," as Sarah Paulson says. Check out the video above and get ready for the "Freak Show" this Wednesday.

"American Horror Story: Freak Show" premieres on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 10:00 p.m. ET on FX.
