airBaltic Sells Mini Coopers In Flight

In-Flight Car Dealership

Consider it an in-flight car dealership.

airBaltic, a Latvian budget airline, is offering perhaps the world's coolest in-flight shopping starting Friday, when airline passengers can purchase custom-designer Mini Coopers while in mid-air.

Martin Gauss, Chief Executive Officer of airBaltic told The Baltic Course: "airBaltic is the world's first airline to start selling cars on board. Naturally, we still believe that flying is smarter than driving whenever possible, and that is why we will offer the airBaltic Mini in a stylish aircraft livery, chosen by the most active of our 60 000-plus Facebook fans."

But will anyone want to purchase a car sight unseen from 30,000 feet?
