Happy Birthday, Al Pacino!

Oscar winning actor/director Al Pacino is 72!

Pacino has had an extensive acting and directing career, spanning from the late 1960s. He is perhaps best known for starring in the 1972 film "The Godfather," and the 1983 film "Scarface." The New York native currently has films in the works, including an upcoming biopic in which he will portray music producer, Phil Spector, who is serving time in prison for the murder of Lana Clarkson.

In February 2012, Pacino was awarded with the National Medal of Arts from President Barack Obama, honoring the work he has produced throughout his career.

When asked by a fan in 2007 what he saw when he looked in the mirror, Pacino told Time magazine:

"It's what I try not to see. I just see me looking at me and that's as far as it goes. I go into a zone. Do I need a shave? Is my hair too long? Am I having a good day? Do I need to wash my face yet again? That's as far as it goes."
