Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.) was re-elected to Congress from Florida's 9th District Tuesday, defeating Republican Carol Platt and two independent candidates.

Grayson, who made a fortune in telecommunications, is known as one of the most outspoken advocates for progressive priorities in the House Democratic caucus.
