Alaska, it's just about time to vote.
Here's what you need to know about voting in Alaska on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012.
Closing time for Alaska polls is 8 p.m. local time. While the majority of precincts are located in the Alaskan Time Zone, vote returns are not released for the state until the entire state votes, and a portion of it is an hour earlier in the Hawaii-Aleutian Time Zone. Regardless of time zone though, 8 p.m. local time polls close.
Alaska polls opening time is 7 a.m. local time - again that goes for all time zones. Whatever your time zone, 7 a.m. your time is when polls open.
The state of Alaska does offer early voting, which began a few weeks ago, so some have already voted.
Not sure where to vote? The state of Alaska has a polling place location finder on its Division of Elections website.
