'Alex Cross' Reviews, Mika's 'The Orgin of Love,' 'Paranoramal 4' & More: The Week In Ouch

Did These Critics Go Too Far?

As this week comes to a close, it seems the newest batch of music and movies have proved successful in motivating a new roll of disappointing reviews.

Mika's third album "The Origin of Love" left the critics a little bored with his predictable pop while Boys Noize's "Out Of The Black" and Donald Fagen's "Sunken Condos" were both deemed as undeveloped. Trey Anastasio's "Traveler" received more positive reviews, but it seems the Phish frontman has some room for growth in the solo act department.

At the cinema, critics felt underwhelmed at the hilariously off-putting "Alex Cross," while "Paranormal Activity 4" offered just another stock horror movie experience. "Nobody Walks" and "The First Time" were rated equally uninspiring.

We have collected some of the more cranky reviews for the week in the gallery below. Were these critics on target or too tough? Let us know what you think in the comments section.
