Alexander McQueen Spring 2012 Features Pastels, Lace & Face Masks (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: Alexander McQueen Lives On

Alexander McQueen may be gone in person, but he certainly lives on the most recent McQueen collection, presented yesterday at Paris Fashion Week.

Sarah Burton, of Kate Middleton wedding dress fame, presented her designs for Alexander McQueen Spring 2012 with many of her predecessor's signatures: mysteriously masked faces, corseted bodices, nature references, a womanly silhouette. "She'll never escape him," wrote Style.com, "nor, it seems, does she want to."

But the laciness and prettiness (Women's Wear Daily called it "fetish of the prettiness sort") was all Burton, reminiscent of the famous dress she designed for the Royal Wedding -- a distinctly Sarah Burton design, despite the McQueen label.

We wonder if the new royal will find any palace-appropriate ensembles in this new McQueen collection. After all, she has proved time and time again her devotion to the British brand.
