As it turns out, Alexis Bledel is just as politically savvy as her "Gilmore Girls" character Rory.

Back in 2007, when then-Senator Obama was just beginning his epic journey on the campaign trail, the beloved CW series "Gilmore Girls" came to an end. After graduating from Yale and refusing a proposal from her boyfriend Logan (Matt Czurchy), she was quickly presented with an offer she couldn't refuse: joining the Obama campaign.

In true Rory Gilmore fashion, Bledel launched a Twitter account in September and has spent the past few months tweeting her support for Obama and encouraging her Twitter followers to vote.

Take a look at some of her tweets in the slideshow below:

Well played, Rory!
