Ali Larter's TV Comeback & More Casting News

"Heroes" star Ali Larter is plotting a TV comeback. According to EW, Larter has been tapped to star in Fox's spy drama "The Asset."

Larter will play Anna King, a a CIA agent posing as a photojournalist. The character uses the journalist cover to work in the field as a "Human Intel Specialist."

After "Heroes," Larter reprised her "Resident Evil" film role in "Resident Evil: Afterlife."

"Lost" star Terry O'Quinn has joined the cast of ABC's pilot "666 Park Avenue."
O'Quinn will play Gavin, the owner of a building where supernatural events occur. [EW]

"Big Love" star Chloe Sevigny will guest star on "Law & Order: SVU."
Sevigny is set to play a stay-at-home mother who is kidnapped while video chatting with her husband. [TV Guide]

Kal Penn has joined the cast of ABC's "Prairie Dogs."
The "House" and "How I Met Your Mother" veteran will play Neil, a corporate drone who winds up the victim of identity theft. When the thief creates a more interesting life than the one he currently lives, Neil tasks the perp with helping him reshape his current situation. [TVLine]

It's a "Gilmore Girls" reunion of sorts on ABC Family's "Bunheads." Kelly Bishop has joined the cast of "Gilmore Girls" creator Amy Sherman-Palladino's new ABC family show as Fanny, the mother-in-law to Sutton Foster's lead character. [EW]

Not only does Jenny McCarthy have a new talk show, but now she's also the face of a reality competition.
McCarthy will host Season 2 of NBC's "Love in the Wild." [THR]
