'All-American Muslim' New Episode Highlights Birth And Call To Prayer (VIDEO)

What Do Muslims Do When Babies Are Born? New 'All-American Muslim' Episode Highlights Ritual

Ever wondered how Muslims welcome children into the world?

The upcoming episode of TLC's reality show, All-American Muslim, highlights the Call to Prayer. Newlyweds Nader and Nawal welcome a new baby boy named Naseem. Father Nader immediately begins to whisper the Call to Prayer in his ear and says its akin to Baptism in Christianity.

The episode also features Coach Fouad Zaban's football team as they brace for their first game of the season. Because it is still the holy month of Ramadan, most of the team is fasting all day and cannot eat or drink until sunset, which will be after half-time. Some people think that fasting will make the team stronger, more focused and lead to victory. Others have their doubts.

Meanwhile, in an effort to gain her mother's approval for her new club, Nina prepares to dress conservatively and pay a rare visit to the mosque. She might be out of her comfort zone, but if she can keep her mom onside with her business plans, it will be worth it.

All-American Muslim airs Sundays at 10 p.m. Eastern time on TLC.
