'All-Star Celebrity Apprentice': Did Trace Adkins Or Penn Jillette Get 'Hired'? (VIDEO)

Who Won 'All-Star Celebrity Apprentice'?

It all came down to two 6'6" ponytail-wielding stars on the "All-Star Celebrity Apprentice" live finale. Country superstar Trace Adkins faced off against Penn Jillette in the competition both of them came so close to winning their first time around. Adkins participated in the first-ever "Celebrity Apprentice," coming in second to Piers Morgan. Jillette was considered a front-runner early on during last season's "Celebrity" edition, but fell short, coming in seventh place.

He redeemed himself, making it to the finale this season. Adkins was back for a second time and both men seemed poised for victory as they both succeeded in their final challenge, which was creating and promoting new flavors of ice cream. While Adkins pulled ahead in sales to his ice cream event, Jillette's flavor sold better.

In the end, though, it was a victory a long time coming. “The winner of ‘All-Star Celebrity Apprentice’ is ... the very great ... Trace Adkins," Donald Trump proudly proclaimed.

Entertainment Weekly said that this win was kind of a toss-up. "The choice didn’t just come down to money, even though Trace raised more than Penn," they wrote. "As Penn told Trace during their respective events: One of them would win, but it wouldn’t be by much.”

In total, Adkins earned more than $1.3 million for his chosen charity, The American Red Cross, over the course of his two seasons on the show.
