Allen West Responds To Jimmy Kimmel Remarks

Allen West Responds To Jack**s Barb

Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) is unfazed by the jokes Jimmy Kimmel made at his expense during the White House Correspondents dinner Saturday night.

Kimmel all but called West an jackass when he said that President Obama was "candid" in using the term to describe Kanye West -- then said, "No offense sir, but I think you got the wrong West. I think you meant Allen."

"I've had generals and plenty of folks call me a whole lot worse. No big deal," West told a crowd in West Palm Beach Monday, according to the Palm Beach Post.

After attending the White House Correspondents dinner and signing autographs for people who were not invited, West took to Facebook to trash the festivities:

"While the President laughs and dines, our Constitutional Republic is eroding and my countrymen are suffering," he wrote. "In this election year, it is sad to think that some of those who were sitting in that ballroom Saturday night laughing and living it up, are helping to perpetuate the manipulation and deception of our country."

Monday evening he was back on Facebook, this time playing the victim to solicit campaign donations. He is running for reelection against Patrick Murphy, a Democratic candidate who followed him into his new district.

"Washington Liberals have made me their #1 Target," he wrote. "Donate to help meet our April goal."
