Allison Janney Gets To Work With Menopause On 'Mom' Now, Too!

As if Christy didn't have enough trouble dealing with her mother on a good day on "Mom," the freshman sitcom threw in a new wrinkle into the three-generation family dynamic. Bonnie called Christy in a panic in the middle of the night. She was certain that she was pregnant. But that wasn't it at all.

In a very quick scene that Allison Janney absolutely owned, she found out that it was menopause. All we saw was her storming across the waiting room of a doctor's office"Are you freakin' kidding me?! you're a lying son of a bitch! you shouldn't even be allowed to practice in this country!" she shouted as she stormed across the scene. "Menopause, my ass!"

Janney is having an absolute blast with this character, and she embraced the more absurd aspects of her new situation with the same gusto she's been throwing into her boozing and whoring around. Already the most entertaining character on the show, this new development pushes Janney to a whole new level, as evidenced by her throwing a dish and a phone out the kitchen window to close the half hour.
