Alvin Greene's College Advice: Senate Candidate Tells Students To Take Their Education Seriously, Exercise

South Carolina's surprise U.S. Senate candidate Alvin Greene is a notably concise speaker -- even when he's being interviewed on his thoughts on America's youth.

The Charleston City Paper sat down with its local candidate and asked him what advice he had for college students. The full interview, seen here, is worth a read. Here's Greene's thoughts on a few pertinent subjects:

On dealing with a bad roommate:

Stay alone. Do without a roommate.

On buying textbooks:

I don't know. There's something good about me; they can check it out. I encourage people to look at my campaign and to vote for me for the United States Senate here in South Carolina. Alvin Greene. Yes. That's a good thing.

On preventing the Freshmen 15:

Work out.
