Alyssa Ferraro Allegedly Assaulted Boyfriend Over Monopoly Game

Boyfriend Allegedly Assaulted Over Monopoly Game

A friendly game of Monopoly turned ugly Sunday night when a woman slapped her boyfriend in the heat of anger.

As a result the woman had to go straight to jail.

Officers in Hooksett, New Hampshire, came to the home of Alyssa Ferraro near midnight after getting a domestic disturbance call regarding the classic board game.

Ferraro, 21, told officers “she got into an argument with her boyfriend over a game of Monopoly and open hand slapped him in the face,” according to a police statement obtained by CBS Boston.

The alleged victim didn't require medical attention, according to WMUR.com.

Ferraro was charged with domestic violence-related simple assault, the New Hampshire Union Leader reports.

It would have been a great time for a "Get Out of Jail Free" card, but instead, Ferrara was released on $2,000 bail, according to the New Hampshire Union Leader.

The suspect is due back in court Dec. 31.
