Alyssa Milano thinks the difference in responses to a mother breastfeeding and a young, topless pop star is pretty striking.
"Everyone's fine with [Miley Cyrus'] nipples being out, but if I post a picture of me breastfeeding it's like, you know, craziness," she told "Entertainment Tonight" while discussing Cyrus' nearly-nude appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards. "You know, I think people are more comfortable sexualizing breasts than relating them to what they were made for, which is feeding another human. It's crazy."
The 42-year-old mom doesn't care about the critics and won't let them dictate how she raises her children, 4-year-old Milo and 1-year-old Elizabella.
"I'm going to keep breastfeeding [Elizabella], maybe even until she's 6."
