Kathy Griffin loves to take shots at celebrities, and her new Bravo stand-up special was just in time to comment on Amanda Bynes' bizarre behavior.
In her one-hour special "Kathy Griffin: Calm Down Gurrl," Griffin mused that Bynes actually has it figured out.
“So Amanda Bynes is allegedly doing stuff like going shopping, locking herself in dressing rooms for two hours and crying — do you know how many times I’ve wanted to do that — that sounds like a dream!” Griffin told the audience. "You go into a dressing room, the lighting is horrible you feel self-conscious, and you just want to take a bunch of clothes and blow off some steam... Amanda Bynes has got it all figured out, I’m telling you.”
Plenty of celebrities have offered their thoughts on Bynes, and felt her wrath because of it, but Griffin told Entertainment Weekly that she was careful about making fun of the troubled 27-year-old since she might actually have serious problems.
"Well, my first rule is their behavior. What’s funny is Amanda Bynes’ tweets are all, ‘You’re ugly!’ I actually don’t do that. If I’m going to make fun of someone, I don’t walk on stage and say, ‘So and so, you’re ugly.’ However, I will comment on their behavior," she explained, adding:
"I will say when it comes to Amanda Bynes that really is a unique situation. So what I’m commenting on about her right now is her tweets back to people are so vicious, they kind of define a bullying tweet. I’m not going to make fun of the fact that she seems to be legitimately troubled. I’m making fun of her tweets about Rihanna. The reason they are comical to me is Rihanna has so many millions of fans and she loves her thug love; She’s got those thug life tattoos on her hand. So personally, I would not want to tussle with Team Rihanna."
And while many are worried about Bynes, at least one person thinks she should have more attention. At a recent event in Hollywood, Fla, Snooki told E! News that Bynes should have her own reality show.
"I just think she's entertaining. And I think she needs a reality show because I would watch it all the time," the former "Jersey Shore" star explained. "If she needed help, I would wish that she would get it, obviously, but she's entertaining. She's my guilty pleasure on Twitter."
