Amanda Bynes Probation: Actress Gets Three Years For Driving Charges

Amanda Bynes Given Three Years Probation

Amid reports of baffling behavior and even more baffling tweets, Amanda Bynes has finally put her driving drama behind her. The 27-year-old former Nickelodeon star pled no contest to charges of driving on a suspended license Thursday, according to TMZ, and has been placed on three years probation. Bynes, who did not appear in Los Angeles court, was charged with a $300 fine in the plea bargain deal.

The troubled actress moved from Los Angeles to New York last fall after a string of vehicular incidents sparked concern about Bynes' behavior. In addition to driving with a suspended license, Bynes was also arrested and charged with a DUI and accused of a hit-and-run at least twice.

In September, Bynes denied trouble with the law, telling People magazine in a statement: "I am doing amazing … I am retired as an actor. I am moving to New York to launch my career. I am going to do a fashion line. I am not talking about being arrested for DUI because I don't drink, and I don't drink and drive. It is all false."
