Unknown Abductor Sought In 3-Year-Old Merleah Guinn's Disappearance

Authorities have issued an Amber Alert for 3-year-old Merleah Guinn after she disappeared Monday night from her home in Santa Rosa, New Mexico.

The child “was abducted from her home sometime last night by an unknown abductor,” New Mexico State Police spokeswoman Elizabeth Armijo said in a Tuesday morning press release. “Merleah Guinn is believed to be in danger if not located immediately.”

Santa Rosa, which has a population of about 3,000 residents, is located approximately 140 miles east of Albuquerque.

Authorities describe Merleah as Native American, 3 feet tall and 28 pounds. She was last seen wearing Minnie Mouse underwear.

No additional information was immediately available Tuesday morning.
