'American Horror Story' Finale: Our Burning Questions For The Explosive Season 1 Finale

'American Horror Story': Our Burning Questions

"American Horror Story" has put us through an emotional roller coaster of a first season. Its macabre nature may have turned some viewers away from their TV screens, but the FX show's jaw-dropping twists and dramatic performances have been keeping fans tuned in week-after-week.

Now, in "American Horror Story's" final hour, one has to wonder if Ben Harmon (Dylan McDermott) can have any sort of a happy ending. While we can't be certain if his fate will a happy one, we do know that tonight's season finale completes the grim story of Ben Harmon, one filled with betrayal, shock and death.

Next season will see a new family move into the death house because, haven't the Harmons have suffered enough? That's just one of the many burning questions I have for the Season 1 finale of "American Horror Story."

Is Ben Harmon going to die?
Honestly, this makes the most sense. After Vivien's (Connie Britton) death in last week's episode "Birth," and Violet's (Taissa Farmiga) shocking death reveal two weeks ago, there seems to be a fatal trend for the Harmon family. However, seeing Vivien and Violet connect in the ghost world was one of the most emotionally charged scenes of the season. Dare I say it, but it almost seemed hopeful for the mother-daughter duo. So what could be better than the Harmon family connecting in the afterlife? Only in "American Horror Story" would a character death bring a happy ending.

Who's in the Rubber Man suit now?
We know that Tate (Evan Peters) was revealed as the elusive Rubber Man, but new promo pictures of Wednesday's finale show someone else donning the suit. Could it be Ben? Probably. But why? No idea.

What's going to happen to the demon baby?
Poor Ben. He lost his wife and got stuck with a demon baby that wasn't his. Now, Constance (Jessica Lange) and Hayden (Kate Mara) are in a battle for a demon baby, who happens to be growing at an alarming rate. Plus, all of the ghosts in the house happen to have baby fever. Why does everyone want a baby?

What happened to the stillborn baby that Charles (Matt Ross) delivered and handed to Nora (Lily Rabe)?
Something tells me that we'll be seeing more of Vivien's stillborn child -- and here's hoping that the baby shows up in the weird ghostly afterlife. Vivien has been handed a few tough blows this season, so it would be nice to give her the somewhat happy ending she deserves.

Can Violet and Vivien change the energy of the house?
After their emotional reunion last week, Violet and Vivien are on a mission rid the house of its ghostly visitors. However, Billie Dean's 1590 "croatoan" ritual didn't exactly work when Violet tried to banish Chad (Zachary Quinto) and Pat (Teddy Sears) from the property. Maybe now that Vivien is there to help, the pair can bring the smack down on the evil energy? I'd personally love to see Vivien take out some of her aggression on Hayden because every great finale needs an epic showdown.

What will Tate do to make up with Violet now that she knows her ghostly boyfriend raped her mother and fathered her brother?
Okay, this might sound crazy, but I actually really really enjoyed the relationship between Tate and Violet. In the finale, I hope the teenage couple has some sort of resolution. Although, Tate's probably going to have his hands full with his demon baby.

Will the Harmon family get a happy ending?
In an interview with ETonline, Taissa Farmiga revealed, "I don't think it will be a completely happy ending, but there will be a little bit of sunshine." Could the little bit of sunshine be Ben's death? Or does it mean that Violet and Vivien knock some sense into Ben and he finally leaves the Murder House once and for all?
