'America's Got Talent' Premiere: How Did Howard Stern Do In His Debut? (VIDEO)

Howard Stern Premieres On 'America's Got Talent'

For the seventh season premiere of "America's Got Talent" (Mon., 9 p.m. ET on NBC) all eyes were on the newest member of the judging panel, Howard Stern. Replacing the outgoing Piers Morgan, Stern proved to be somewhat less grouchy, while at the same time far more enthusiastic about a few of the acts.

In fact, at times he was downright nice. Entertainment Weekly thought Stern was well within the expected parameters of the show, but that the show itself quickly became tiresome.

But Stern was still himself, commenting at one point to a stripping magician, "As a stripper you can't have man-boobs." He even went so far as to tell the man he had a "rather small package."

But was it enough to impress Stern's fanbase? Was he tame enough to not alienate the family-friendly segments of the "AGT" audience? And more importantly, did he have a good eye for talent? The jury's still out on that last one.

See what Cannon and Mandel thought about Stern here. "America's Got Talent" continues on Mondays and Tuesdays throughout the summer on NBC.
