The year's biggest Hallmark holiday is almost here, but it's not all hearts and flowers. In a recent survey, Orbitz asked the question that's really on everyone's mind: What is America's sexiest city? Okay, well maybe it's not on everyone's mind, but it is interesting to consider this time of year as travelers head out to celebrate the long holiday weekend.

The Winner: Las Vegas, which also happens to be the most booked destination over the long Presidents/Valentine's Day weekend this year, according to Orbitz.com bookings. So, what makes a city "sexy"? According to the survey, location and scenery were most influential, followed by a destination's personality as represented by architecture and neighborhoods, culture, the people and -- most certainly playing a role in Vegas' votes -- the nightlife. So, given these factors, what's turning up the heat in this dessert oasis? Aside from great long weekend deals (average hotel rates just $145/night) here are some highlights that keep visitors coming back to this sexy city:

Where to Stay: The Cosmopolitan. From private balconies in every room to the luxurious SAHRA Spa & Hammam to its pool overlooking the Strip, this relative newcomer brings a vibe that's alluring and intoxicating and has visitors raving about their stay.

Where to Play: Marquee Nightclub & DayClub at the Cosmopolitan. Since its debut on New Year's Eve 2010, this party destination continues to stir things up. And not just at night -- its DayClub features Grand Cabanas with individual infinity pools and three-story Bungalow Lofts, complete with a cabana, living quarters and a party deck on top.

Where to Dine: Bartolotta at the Wynn. It doesn't get more romantic than dining outdoors in a private cabana surrounding a lagoon at this award-winning, Mediterranean-inspired restaurant.

Where to Shop: Crystals at CityCenter. High-fashion shoppers looking for something unique for their sweetheart will no doubt find it here. From Cartier to Versace, you'll find an A-to-Z list of designer labels and even a personalized concierge service.

What to See: Zumanity. This Cirque du Soleil show features expressions of sensuality through dance and gymnastics, revealing a more provocative side to these popular mind and body-bending productions.

Where to Get a Deal: For travelers looking to book a trip to Las Vegas or any destination this Valentine's weekend, visit www.orbitz.com/longweekend and use the promo code PREZ15 to save 15 percent on hotels through February 17.
