Amy Winehouse’s London home has been sold.
The Camden Square residence was auctioned on Monday for $3.2 million, reports the BBC. Bidders fought for the home where the singer was found dead in July 2011 and reportedly a couple in their 40s bought the property.
The singer’s family originally put the 3 bedroom, semi-detached home on the market in May for $4.2 million. But they then opted to have it auctioned by McHugh and Co. at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts after multiple offers fell through. Auctioneer Chris McHugh said the family is satisfied with the final bid even though it’s less than what they originally hoped for.
McHugh also said there was no mention in the auction catalogue that the home belonged to the famous “Rehab” singer -- but “word got out.”
According to the website, the home consists of four floors with additional features such as a music room, gym and cloakroom.
