Yesterday after 25 years in the fashion industry Alexandra Shulman officially left British Vogue. For over two decades the editor in chief of fashion’s biggest magazine steered Vogue through their centenary celebrations and numerous iconic covers featuring the likes of Kate Moss, Gisele Bundchen, Robbie Williams and even the Duchess of Cambridge herself.

Now, renown stylist and former fashion editor Edward Enninful will take the reigns at the magazine. The new popular choice will no doubt shake things up at the magazine, as he already has done through hiring a new fashion director - Venetia Scott. What we can expect are the stunning magazine editorials, especially as they will be overseen by both Scott and Enninful’s watchful gaze and it will be interesting to see who features on Enninful’s first cover too.

in the meantime here are some of Alexandra Shulman’s most iconic covers during her 25 years at British Vogue.
