We recently spoke to Aussie actress Claire Cohen, who was on the recent Lifetime movie ‘Britney Ever After’ opposite another Australian actress Natasha Bassett who played the part of Britney Spears. Over the last few years, Claire has been busy filming quite a few projects and will next be seen in the upcoming ‘Atalanta’ which will begin filming soon. Between her busy schedule, we caught up with Claire for a Q&A and here is what she had to say:

Hi Claire, it's always a pleasure catching up with you. Since we last spoke to you, you have been a part of some really exciting projects. We also just saw you in the Lifetime movie 'Britney Ever After', playing the role of one of Britneys assistants. How did this come about?

It's always a pleasure to talk to you too, thank you! When I first auditioned for the part here in Vancouver I didn't know it was for the Britney Spears biopic. It was called ‘Popstar’ when I went in and it wasn't until I got the part that I found out!

How long did this movie take to film and where did it take place?

The film was shot in roughly 3 weeks in Vancouver, British Columbia.

What was the atmosphere like on set? Was it fun?

It was so much fun; the cast and crew were all incredibly hard working and creative people to be around. I was very grateful to get to be a part of it.

Did you listen to Britney Spears music growing up?

Yes, I love Britney Spears! 'Baby One More Time' was one of my first cd's, she has always been so fun to dance to, no matter the level of your dancing ability!

Have you kept in touch with any of the cast and crew since filming has wrapped?

Yes I have been lucky enough to keep in contact with some of them. It was a very supportive cast and crew and I am very happy to have them in my life.

What has been one of your favorite roles to play so far and why?

I loved playing Sara in a film I did for AddituP Productions called 'Day Dream'. It's a film that was created to help share the message of suicide awareness and that you are not alone. Not only do I love and fully support the message but I loved the empathy and depth of feeling that my character was given the opportunity to explore and express.

What other projects do you have coming up?

Next I have a really beautiful film 'Atalanta' produced by Verhagen Entertainment coming up. It tells the story of two young girls looking for their birth mom. I had such a wonderful experience working on it and I can't wait to be able to share it.

What have you learned most since we last caught up with you about the business?

To always stay creative and to take every opportunity you are given, to do so. I consider it a privilege and a blessing to be paid to do something that I love and to be able to make a living working on a set is a dream come true.

If you had the choice to work in any particular movie genre, what would it be and why?

I would love to do an action film like a Tarantino film. I'm Australian and I grew up playing lots of sport and messing about with my big brother and his friends and recently I got into kickboxing and I love how empowering it is. To be able to take those skills and put them into my acting work would be amazing! Also it is one of my goals to work with a director like Quentin Tarantino whose body of work include some of my favorite films; from Pulp Fiction to Django Unchained, he is absolutely incredible.

Thanks so much for your time Claire!

Thank you as well.
